When they say that the show must go on, it’s usually in spite of some disaster. However, when Lisa Wynne and Sally Robinson are involved, it means that Show Works Creative Entertainment is providing the entertainment, so the one thing the customer can be guaranteed of is a perfect show. These two are specialists in corporate entertainment such as team-building, product launches and sales conferences; functions and events; entertainers, including bookings for bands, DJs, magicians and MCs; character management, namely the logistical management and handling of all aspects of character work and appearances; children’s theatre and edu-tainment; theatre productions; and creative concepts and scripts, which is everything from campaigns to themed roadshows.Sally says that they take pride in being a full service agency, giving clients a shopping list of services to pick and choose from. Nonetheless, she adds, most clients utilise the full range of services, asking the team to devise, design and deliver the whole event or campaign. Lisa points out that she and Sally studied together at the Waterfront Theatre School and started Show Works five years ago. Having been freelance performers, they are good at the business because of their passion for performance - something that ensures that each and every project has to be as perfect as an ‘opening night’.They want to see Show Works become a fully functional company capable of supporting three good salaries and providing work for their suppliers and performers. Sally states that the key to achieving this is financial support and stability, but that any strategic support they could get would also be very helpful.
